Germany Update
It seems that things in Germany are as I always thought they were. The Thrash
scene and in fact the Metal scene in general is amazing or so it seems at least.
I haven't gone to any gigs around here so far, unfortunately, but I am told that
there are lots of cool places to play all around the country. One thing that makes
me happy for sure, is that the German Thrashers were always the biggest
Adrenicide supporters from day one. Also the fact that some of my favourite bands
are German surely make things a little easier, if not altogether perfect. The other
very important thing is that there's a shop to buy Metal music near where I live
which is in the middle of no-fuckin'-where's land. (That's of course without adding
Bratwurst, Krakauer, lots of great beer and of course schnaps, LOL). So horns up
to the Germans.
Anyway it has only been two weeks now since I've started to search for new
musicians and I've already found a few killer drummers... And yes, I'm pretty much
decided on the guy that's gonna be Adrenicide's next drummer...However I'm still
goin' to audition this other dude (which I'm as yet to meet), just to make sure that's
the right thing to do. I'll reveal his name together with a photo as soon as I made
my mind up. What I can tell you for now is that this guy makes B. MacReady/
N. Skidmore look fucking stale and weak. To find a permanent drummer in England
these days has proven to be an impossible job, which is fuckin' sad considering
it's where Metal apparently was born. Well ok. Fuck it!....The Germans seem to
know it better when it comes down to Thrash Metal, plus this only reinforces that
the decision I made to move to Germany was the right one, no doubt. I just can't
wait to get back on the road and Thrash this place to the fuckin' ground.
Unfortunately the bass player position is yet to be filled, but I don't think it will take
that long at all, there are enough Thrashers here in Germany to make a million
Thrash Metal bands. So in the next few days or weeks I'm hoping to find someone
that's gonna be good enough to fill in the bass player shoes (Rebook high tops.LOL.).
