History Of A Time To Come (Documentary)
A few months ago i found out by pure chance while on facebook that a British guy by the
name of Josh Callis-Smith was making a movie about the U.K thrash scene. I was extremely
surprised about it and very happy at the same time. There are, and have been great bands in
Britain that never really got the respect they deserve, and with a movie lurking in the horizon,
i thought things may well change once and for all. I was even told that the the movie director
was an Adrenicide fan. Cool to say the least. Some amazing bands were gonna be featured
on this DVD, including my all time favourite British band Xentrix.
It goes without saying of course that when i didn't get an email from any of the Movie crew,
or the director, i was very disappointed and maybe a bit pissed off... i guess. I mean a little
fuckin' mention or something wouldn't hurt. Yeah we are very much proud of being an
underground band and never for a minute we thought of selling out, but that is just fucked up.
Specially when i see certain bands in there that haven't done much to the scene at all. At
least not as much as we did, and in my honest opinion, still do.
I know that Adrenicide haven't been that active throughout the years in terms of playing live.
We actually didn't play any gigs from 2004 up until 2011. There are many reasons behind all
this, but that doesn't really matter in this case. Whatever decisions we made in the past
wrong or right, don't really change the fact that we in some way, more than contributed for
the U.K thrash scene (or so i believe). Correct me if I'm wrong. If anyone is making a movie
about the U.K thrash scene, why the fuck excluding us from it altogether? I'm not making
any judgements here fellas, but i just totally find it very disrespectful towards us and
Adrenicide. Best of luck with the movie nevertheless, there will be some amazing bands to
be featured on this DVD, and i will surely buy it when it's finally out.
